Spin out from Deutsche Bank to form Roc

  • After more than fifteen years of outstanding results, including positive returns in 2008, Roc launches in July 2009
  • Deutsche Bank partners as seed investor and minority equity partner
  • Firm primarily focused on quantitative equities trading, with a specific focus on market neutral and statistical arbitrage strategies

Return of Investor Capital Conversion to Family Office

  • After four years of difficult markets, all external capital is returned to investors. Virtually all investors end flat or up on their investments
  • Partners find attractive opportunities to invest in real estate backed loans

Launch of Secured Lending Income Fund (SLIF)

  • Partners start to source loans backed by real estate with capital from friends and family, along with their own money

Launch of Roc Holdings

  • Reconstitution of SLIF as a specialty finance company, Roc Holdings
